Today Hanna went to her friend's birthday party. Hanna LOVES parties. This time was no exception. "We got to make hats mama, and I got my face painted like a ghost and we had cake and fruit... BOO! Did I scare you mama??"
Actually, she did.
After our best attempts of cleaning her face, Hanna still looks like she's wearing eyeliner to bed. I promise you she doesn't mind one bit!

Today is Brad's birthday. Happy Birthday!! We both almost teared up when Hanna was singing Happy Birthday to him. What a precious moment. I love their connection. Hand in hand they do so many things together and connect on so many levels. I am in awe... and admittedly a tad envious at times.
I know that what we each offer Hanna is different... both to be treasured. Brad and I come at life from two different angles, although growing more similar with time. I admire his carefree nature and ability to make friends with anyone. You wonder where Hanna gets her "social butterfly-ness" from?
