8 teeth old

Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I've had a moment to chat with you. Today Hanna is 8 months old. To match her age, she is sporting 8 teeth--one for every month she has lived. She is enjoying chewing everything--the phone, the TV remote, her lotion bottle, mom's toes, her hands, every toy, the Huggies box--anything she can get her hands on. And of course, cheerios are very yummy.

She's also been a busy beaver in her room. We've found her gnawing on her crib, especially when she's not interested in sleeping anymore. So we've had to cover the top railing with a towel to avoid any more teeth marks.

Oh, the adventures have just begun, and we are having time of our lives.

My little fish

Hanna has become a little fish in the tub. She loves the water on her face and splashes around ensuring everything is covered in water, including me. The other day I taught her the flutter kick. I'm not sure she entirely got the concept, but the waves created had her shrieking with excitement.

I can't wait to start our mom and tot swim classes in the big pool. It won't be as warm as the bath tub. But, it's good training for the cool Crystal Lake this summer.

How will she be resting?

It's quite a game we play... guessing what position Hanna is sleeping in. Sometimes, we find her nestled right in the corner of her crib. Other times, she's positioned sideways, bum in the air. Once she was sitting upright with her head on her chest, snoozin' away. But, she is never in the position we placed her, and always looks most peaceful. I could watch her sleep for hours.

Unfortunately, she's a light sleeper like her mom. The flash from this picture immediately woke her up.  Oh well, nap time was over anyways.
