Heh look, I'm standing

Hanna is progressing so quickly from one stage to the next. Two weeks ago she was barely crawling. And now, not only is she crawling all over the place, she surprised daddy the other day by pulling herself up to full standing. Her descent from this position isn't the most graceful and usually involves a dive into the floor. So we are teaching her some optional moves to avoid bumps and bruises.

She is also contending with three more teeth coming through on the top, ALL AT THE SAME TIME. She's been a trouper as they poke through.

And every once in a while, she says the word, Hello (or more like Hah-ro). It stops us in our tracks. Of course, when we try to get her to repeat it, no such luck.

I can't wait to see what gems are in store next week.

At the end of the day

When the last meal is fed,
and all play is done,
there's no place quite like
the arms of a loved one.

A place to rest your head

A faint breath reminding you,

My little girl

My little girl doesn't look so little anymore, especially when we dress her up in big kid clothes. (I'm always amazed at the booming fashion industry for babies.)

Typically, sleepers are Hanna's main dress attire, day and night. And many people ask us, "Oh is she ready for bed?" Well, no. Sleepers are just easy to put on and comfy to wear. At six months, I don't think she cares about brand names.

But I admit, I love seeing her all dressed up. She looks like a different person, no longer a baby. I can already feel how quickly she will grow up. I'm glad I'm taking the time to notice my little girl.

(P.S. We fed her carrots tonight which explains the orange colour in her cheeks.)
