Thanks Baba

While Brad and I jet set to Las Vegas this weekend, Baba flew in to care for Miss Hanna. We don't know who smiled more, Baba or Hanna. The two of them adore each other. (I think Baba is suffering from Hanna withdrawal right now.)

Knowing the good company Hanna was in, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway, spent with great friends. I dragged Brad to see Celine Dion at Caesar's Palace. What a powerful voice she has. Brad dragged me out of the casino at 3 in the morning after my winning streak at roulette. Gotta love Vegas!

I'm gonna get you

Hi, it's me again, Hanna. I'm very excited these days. I'm six months old, my third tooth just poked through, I can now sit up on my own, and yes, I'm almost crawling.  It's more like an inch worm crawl... bum in the air, launch my body forward, recover from the occasional face plant. All fun and games, I tell ya.

So watch out... because I'm gonna get you. And when I do, I'll plant a slobbering kiss on your cheek. Those are my favorite.

Mr. Mom

I am blessed to have Brad in my life.  He loves caring for Hanna and does all the parenting duties I do, and sometimes more. He is the closest thing to Mr. Mom I know (don't tell him I said that...)

Brad and Hanna have such a wonderful relationship.  I often hear giggle fits going on when the two of them are playing.  Hanna looks up to her dad with big eyes.  And she has won a front row seat in his heart.

I remind Brad that this time with Hanna is so precious. He will have a different relationship with her later in life because of the time they spend together now.  The bond is something magical to observe.

Brad, you are an amazing father. I am honoured to co-parent with you.

On the move

Hi everyone,

I'm on the move.  This sitting in one spot is highly overrated. So, I'm rolling around the living room floor, figuring out ways to get wherever I want.

I can't wait until I can crawl. I haven't figured out that I have to get up on all fours.  So, rolling from back to front, front to back will have to be my mode of transportation for now.  But, just you wait...

Oh, by the way, can you see my two front teeth? They are very sharp. I sink them into mommy's fingers occasionally. She should know better than to put them in my mouth. After all, my teeth are meant for chewing.  Aren't they?

All smiles

One thing you can count on with Hanna is a smile. She dishes out a million smiles a day. She holds back for no one. If you smile at her, she smiles back.  If she smiles first, you can't help but smile. It's contagious.  And so the circle of love continues.

I think she realizes that she is in the company of so many people who adore her (including her Aunty Lesia). My wish would be that every child, no matter how old, would know that.  We are all adored by someone. There is much love to go around.

A brand new year

Hi everyone,

It's me, Hanna, and it's a brand new year.

I'm discovering all things new... new toys, new teeth, new hair, new feet (OK, my feet aren't new... I'm just discovering how to put them in my mouth).  I'm also starting to roll over a lot so, mom, you better watch out.

I'm pretty excited to continue sharing stories with you throughout the year. My mom and I have lots to say. So check back soon.
